About the Presenter:
The "Instituto Reynaldo Rezende" is a private practice, founded in 1988 as the first outpatient facility for ophthalmology surgery in Brazil. Since then, our team has performed over 72,000 surgeries, from laser surgery and lens implants to more complicated procedures. We are experienced in all vision correction treatments and techniques and offer our patients the latest, state-of-the-art technologies.
Dr. Resende, founder of the Institute, is constantly improving and developing his surgical skills on cornea and refractive surgery, including LASIK/LASEK, Lamellar Keratoplasty for Keratoconus, Artisan, and Multifocal Implants.
Dr. Kairala, fellowship trained in anterior segment in Boston and post-doctoral fellow at Harvard, is Medical Research Director at the Institute, where together with Dr. Resende have innumerous ongoing research projects on cornea and refractive surgery.
