About the Presenter:
Rana Altan-Yaycioglu, MD, received her medical degree in 1995 and completed ophthalmology residency in 1999 at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Her research experience includes positions as First A. Edward Maumenee Fellow at the Cornea and External Disease Department of Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD [2000], and Research Fellow at Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, Kresge Eye Institute, Detroit, MI [2001]. Dr. Altan-Yaycioglu is currently Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the Baskent University, Faculty of Medicine, Turkey.
Primary research interests include anterior segment surgery, ocular surface, eyelid, and lacrimal system disorders.
